Legal Crossing: New Seafood Concept Slated for Downtown Crossing

You may be able to get sushi and live lobsters at the new Walgreens in Downtown Crossing, but if you’re looking for fish that doesn’t come in a plastic container, you need to venture a little further into the neighborhood. Legal Sea Foods today announced the opening of Legal Crossing, a new concept from the New England seafood chain that is set to open this fall.
Legal Crossing — or LX, as the cool kids (a.k.a. the PR people) are calling it — will be an upscale restaurant, but details are still sparse on the specific menu. We do know that the menu will, in the words of Legal Sea Foods’ CEO Roger Berkowitz, “spawn from Legal Sea Foods’ commitment to quality and freshness.”
LX will be part of the new Millennium Place development at 580 Washington St. in Downtown Crossing. The complex will house more than 250 residences, 14 penthouses and a fitness and wellness center. Owners and residents will be privy to The Club, a private lounge and private dining room, with a special menu that LX will service.
We envision lots of caviar.
LX is set to open in November of 2013. Millennium Place is currently under construction, and according to a press release, 64 percent of the building is already sold. It is also set to open this fall.
